Sport Fee:
  • $8 per person per event
Registration Rules:
  • No on-site registration is authorized.
  • Participants may enter a maximum of 9 events, not including relays.
  • Swimmer's age division for competition will be determined by their age as of December 31, 2008.
  • Swimmers must provide their own suits, caps, goggles, towels, etc.
Format/Rules:
  • The meet is recognized by U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) and will be conducted in accordance with the USMS rules as modified by the National Senior Games Association (NSGA) rules of competition.
  • Pool is indoor with 6 lanes and has a computerized timing system and starting blocks.
  • Warm-up time will be from 8:30 am to 9:20 am; there will also be a mid-day break and additional warm-up time.
  • No diving is allowed during warm-ups except when announced by an official and only in designated sprint lanes.
  • The 500 freestyle will require an on-deck check-in by 9:00 am.
  • The breaststroke and butterfly turns must be done with both hands touching the wall simultaneously.
  • The order of strokes in the individual medley is - butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.
  • Participants may start in the pool, dive from the deck, or from the blocks.
  • For all events except the 500 yard freestyle, women will compete first, by age division, then men, by age division.
Relays:
  • Relays will be organized at poolside and do not need to be indicated on the registration form. There is no charge for relays.
  • Relays will have aggregate age groups of the combined ages of the four relay members (i.e., 200-223, 224-247, 248-271, and 272+ years).
  • The mixed relay requires two men and two women.
Refreshments:
  • Water and fruit snacks will be provided for athletes.
  • Other snack items will be available for sale.
